Heis is a video editor for Mac built around an AI editing assistant. You describe the film you want, the assistant builds a first cut on the timeline, and every edit after that stays in your hands.

Import footage and describe the result in plain words. The assistant can inspect media, assemble a rough cut, work on selected clips, and run saved project workflows.

Keep the final say

Trim, arrange, and layer titles frame by frame on a clear timeline.
Grade with exposure, color wheels, curves, and LUTs carried through to export.
Manual and assistant edits share one undo history.
Export H.264, H.265, or ProRes after a delivery check.

Local first, cloud when it helps

Projects, timeline editing, and export live on the Mac. The cloud is only involved for the assistant and for generating missing shots, images, or sound, so editing works without a subscription.
